The Lithuanian Foundation provides financial support for heritage schools
The Lithuanian Foundation sets a priority to provide financial support for the Lithuanian youth and their education. In 2012 Lithuanian Foundation allocated $75,000 for the support of Lithuanian cultural heritage schools in the U.S. In the last ten years, the Lithuanian Foundation has distributed $ 720,000 for the support of heritage schools. Presently (in 2012) over 2,200 students attend 36 Lithuanian cultural heritage schools nationwide. These students will not only become future members of the Foundation, but also will maintain and pass Lithuanian traditions, culture, and language in immigration. By supporting Lithuanian education the Lithuanian Foundation helps to sustain Lithuanian heritage for our generations to come.
